Theodore Pugin
Welcome to my website! I am a young iconographer with several years of experience carving wooden plaques. This vocation emerged from my life-long passion for art coupled with the understanding that proper Christian imagery plays a pivotal role for both personal worship and society at large. Such understanding both drove and has been informed by my conversion to Orthodox Christianity. I am inspired by all works written in the language of embodiment, be it Carolingian Art, Ottonian and Byzantine Ivories, Romanesque Tablets, Gothic Sculpture, Nottingham Alabasters, or the oeuvre of contemporary iconographers like Jonathan Pageau. It is my endeavor to contribute to and uphold this living tradition of Liturgical Art.
